‘All workers in Wales have the right to be protected from the harm of second hand smoke.’That was the key message delivered by ASH Wales in the Senedd today (January 22nd) as we gave evidence to two Assembly Committees deliberating the issue of whether to create an amendment to Wales’s flagship smoke-free premises legislation for the creative industries.

Public health charity ASH Wales has called for an end to public sector pension investments in tobacco companies after it discovered that Welsh local authorities hold £116m of their pension funds in the industry.
Elen de Lacy, the Chief Executive of ASH Wales, was invited to be on the judging panel for the national Cut Films competition. Cut Films is a UK-wide competition which gives young people the opportunity to make a 2 minute short film on why their friends shouldn't smoke.
